Student Information

Welcome to the Maizeone Music family!!! As a student, you can be assured that you will receive the customized, personal attention that you will deserve from your instructor in whatever genre` you choose. Please remember, music instruction should be enjoyable and enhance your life with the wonderful world of music.

By all means, be prepared to have a good time at each session. Never be fearful or worried. Those emotional states will hinder your ability to learn. Your expectations of your own investment of time and energy are the most important thing. Dr. Corn's purpose is to help you grow, learn and enjoy your progress by providing the information and guidance that will allow you to flourish as a musician or singer.

Dr. Corn's expectatation is that every student rise to their own level of passion for learning. Basically, the student will dictate their own success by forming good practice habits and investing quality time in their instrument each week. As the old adage says, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink". That is so true in music study. You will be flooded with time-tested information and technique and it is the student's responsibility to develop it with passion and good practice habits.

Student Supplies:

Each student will need the "Concept Of Music" starter notebook. Although it comes with an initial supply of plastic sheet protectors, it would be wise to purchase a good supply of top-loading plastic sheet protectors at your local office supply store. We will build  the instruction book indivdually to fit the needs and progress of each student.

Each student should have a quality instrument to play with the proper accessories such as an electronic tuner, capo for guitars, and a quality strap. Rental instruments are not available. We recommend The Music Outlet in Sevierville, TN for all of your music purchases. They have special pricing on all of their instruments. You can be assured of getting the best price and service for your instrument prchases.

For more information, please call The Music Outlet at (865) 453-1031.
