I was very fortunate that my long time friend and keyboard player Dean Slocum was able to secure support to travel to LHCC to assist me. Having worked together for over twenty years, His help proved invaluable in instruction with the present keyboard player, as well as networking with the local musicians. I am so thankful he was there with me. His influence was immeasurable.

We were greeted at the Halifax airport by Bill Jenkins and one of the leadership of LHCC. We were whisked away to “Bill’s Diner” for dinner where we were informed that Bill had “good” news and “bad” news…”Oh brother!”, I thought , “I’m 1700 miles away from  home and ‘bad’ news is on the way…accck!”  Well the “good” news was that we had been booked to interview and play on a morning television show known as “Breakfast Television”. The “bad” news was that we had to be at the television station at 5:30am!
